The most important thing you can do to save yourself time in the kitchen when fixing dinner is to pre-prepare ingredients. Does your recipe call for a pound of ground beef? Brown two, freeze one. Next time your recipe calls for one, you don't have to brown the beef, you can cut that time out.
Chop onions and freeze them for a quick add of flavor to a dish. The possibilities are endless.
